Zachary Durst (he/him) is a recognized expert in the recruitment of healthcare CIOs and Chief Digital Officers as well as industry executives in the areas of information security, biomedical informatics, and data analytics. Since joining WittKieffer in 2013, Zachary has led and supported searches for more than 180 clients across the U.S. Zachary applies a deep understanding of how to bring forward transformational leaders into today?s academic medical centers, health systems, universities, and private equity organizations. Active professionally and a frequent speaker and writer on healthcare IT leadership, Zachary has been cited in Modern Healthcare, Becker?s, and MedCity News, and featured on HIMSS TV. He has spoken and led conversations among CIOs and IT leaders at events hosted by the College of Healthcare Information Management Executives (CHIME), Healthcare Information and Management Systems Society (HIMSS), and Association of Medical Directors of Information Systems (AMDIS). Zachary started in WittKieffer as a research analyst managing projects internally for dozens of searches before being named to the consulting staff in his first 18 months. Prior to WittKieffer, Zachary worked in the nonprofit arena on unemployment initiatives and in managing Illinois Department of Labor grants to small business owners.
