Walter Becvar is the Managing Partner of Odgers Berndtson's Vienna office. Specialising in Board and HR related assignments, he has extensive knowledge of senior management in Austria and Eastern Europe across a broad range of industries. Prior to joining Odgers Berndtson, he was a Managing Partner at one of the largest HR management consultancies before which he was CEO of the Vienna office of the US equity firm KKR responsible for restructuring Tenovis (Bosch-Telekom) in Austria, Hungary, Slovakia and the Czech Republic. Earlier in his career he was Head of Sales and Customer Care at Telekom Austria, looking after all customer interfaces and 4000 employees for seven years. He joined there from Philips, the international technology group where he was Marketing Manager and in Sales and Distribution for Consumer Goods for six years. He first trained as an electrical engineer before completing his studies in Business Administration & Business and HR Education at the University of Economics and Business in Vienna.
