The client is seeking a Vice President of Software Engineering to lead a global team of over 150 professionals, which includes approximately 10 direct reports, in the cybersecurity and digital trust sector. This role is highly visible and reports directly to the C-suite. The primary responsibilities involve overseeing the development of customer-facing applications across mobile and web platforms, managing backend and infrastructure projects, and integrating existing products with recently acquired fintech platforms to maximize their strategic value. A key focus will be on advancing AI adoption to improve productivity by over 30%, as well as scaling platforms to support real-time, high-throughput environments while shaping the overall business and technology strategy in collaboration with senior executive leadership.
The ideal candidate will have over 10 years of experience leading commercial software development teams, with a proven track record in scaling fintech organizations and delivering customer-facing products. Experience with managing large teams exceeding 100 members and familiarity with regulatory requirements is advantageous. The candidate should have deep experience in designing and operating large-scale, real-time systems and possess a strong technical grounding in languages such as Java, React, or Scala. A background in platform or system migrations and thriving in a fast-moving Fortune 500 environment with a startup mindset are preferred qualities.
