The client is seeking a Vice President for Budget & Planning to lead financial planning and budgeting activities for an education-focused organization. This senior role will support strategic decision-making by setting direction for the budgeting process and ensuring financial plans align with organizational goals.

Key responsibilities typically include overseeing the development and management of annual budgets, forecasting, and resource planning; monitoring financial performance against plans; and coordinating with internal leaders to evaluate priorities and tradeoffs. The role will also be expected to guide budget-related analysis, provide decision support, and help establish processes and controls that strengthen planning accuracy and accountability.

Candidates should have broad, senior-level experience in budgeting, financial planning, and organizational finance, with a demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional planning efforts. Strong stakeholder management, analytical thinking, and the ability to communicate financial insights clearly at executive levels are expected, along with experience working in complex, education-oriented environments where planning demands ongoing coordination.
