The client is seeking a Vice President, Children and Family Services to lead their organization in early childhood education in Marin County, California. The ideal candidate will collaborate with team members and staff to ensure the organization remains a leader in providing vital services to the community. The client, Community Action Marin, aims to break down barriers to fair and lasting change, especially in light of the widening income gap and racial inequities in the area. The Vice President will oversee capital funding, develop partnerships, and provide strategic leadership to enhance the impact and visibility of the organization.
Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer, the Vice President will work with government funders, policymakers, and nonprofit organizations to secure diverse funding and support the Whole Family Approach. This leadership role requires expertise in early childhood education operations, budgeting, and staffing, as well as the ability to evaluate impact at both child and teacher levels. The Vice President will oversee a team of directors and work closely with the VP of Early Education to establish effective school partnerships and improve kindergarten readiness in Marin County.
The Vice President will provide support and education to the Children and Family Services team, ensuring alignment with agency priorities and standards of excellence. They will represent the organization to potential constituents and supporters, as well as lead efforts to strengthen board leadership and committees. By partnering with the CEO and VP of Early Education, the Vice President will play a key role in advancing educational equity and improving outcomes for families in Marin County.
