Tom Roets provides clients with solutions in transformative technology leadership, leveraging an extensive career as entrepreneur, management consultant and executive in large corporates. He is based in Sydney. Prior to joining Russell Reynolds Associates, Tom was the Enterprise Strategy & Transformation Executive for Telstra, and also held a range of strategy and technology executive roles at the National Broadband Network (NBN) and Vodafone Australia. Prior to this, Tom was an Associate Principal at McKinsey & Company specializing in Digital and Business Technology strategy for C-level clients in Telecommunications, Financial Services and other industries. Tom was also Founder and IT Director for a dot com startup that over the past 20 years have grown to become a major online B2B purchasing platform across Europe (Mercateo.com). Tom received his bachelor’s honours degree (cum laude) in computer science and informatics from the University of Johannesburg. He lived and worked in South Africa, Europe and North America before settling in Australia, and speaks fluent English, Afrikaans and German.
