Whatever the circumstances, Suzan remains positive, strives for optimisation and is a real activator. She has a high level of energy, is genuinely interested in the person, the ‘why’ and the effect as part of the bigger picture. A connector through and through, she likes to look beyond processes and systems. Furthermore, she always thinks in solutions, does not always choose the most obvious one in the process, and prefers collaboration. Joint results are the best outcome. Her motto: "If you can't explain it simply, you don't understand it well enough yourself". Suzan joined Odgers Berndtson as a partner in the Business Services Practice on 1 September 2022. Before that she gained years of experience and built her network in professional services. It was at Randstad that her passion for connecting people and organisations was ignited. During the 13-plus years she spent at EY, connection was paramount. As account director, she was responsible for relationships with various clients worldwide within different sectors. Her ultimate goal is to achieve long-term results by engaging all parties, challenging them and jointly celebrating success. After training as a goldsmith at the Vakschool in Amsterdam and studying art and cultural sciences at Erasmus University in Rotterdam, she never lost her appetite for the creative. For instance, Suzan enjoys going to concerts, the cinema and theatre and loves cooking and eating out. To compensate, she occasionally runs and enjoys yoga and Pilates. She also likes travelling, preferably with her two sons and friends.
