Susan Hart is a core member of Spencer Stuart’s North American Board and CEO practices, and leads the firm’s global Retail, Apparel and Luxury Goods Practice. She specializes in the recruitment of CEOs and board directors within the consumer and retail sectors. Extensive retail, board and CEO experience In her 34 years at Spencer Stuart, Susan has completed more than 1,000 executive and board searches globally for a wide range of consumer, fashion and luxury, mass retail and specialty lifestyle brands. Susan has led CEO searches and CEO succession projects for mature, high-growth and turnaround companies. She also advises clients on board governance issues. In addition to her client responsibilities, Susan spent six years on the firm's global management committee, responsible for worldwide training and professional development. Prior to joining Spencer Stuart, Susan was director of staff selection for the Western region of Booz Allen Hamilton, the international management consulting firm. She began her career with a major women's apparel manufacturing company. Susan earned her bachelor's degree in business administration from Fairleigh Dickinson University. Susan served on the National Retail Federation Foundation board of directors from 2018-2022.
