Stephen Preng directs the Global Oilfield Service and Equipment practice for Preng & Associates. He joined the firm in 2010 as a Consultant. Over the past nine years, he has helped numerous public and private as well as private equity backed companies bring on operational and financial talent to their executive teams. Mr. Preng has over 15 years of recruiting experience in the oil and gas industry with a broad focus in the upstream and midstream sectors specializing in operating, oilfield service and equipment providers. He has extensive experience conducting search assignments domestically and internationally and led Preng’s efforts throughout Russia and the FSU for a five-year period. Prior to joining Preng, he ran an affiliated energy-focused recruiting firm targeting professionals at the senior and staff level and spent one year in securities trading after earning his Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics from The University of Texas at Austin.
