After a career start in research (ETH and MIT) Stéphanie joined SAM Sustainability Services (now part of S&P Global Ratings) where she advised the largest stock listed companies worldwide on their sustainability performance and strategy. She later joined ewz (3rd largest Swiss Utility) as Head of Strategy to help define the vision and strategy of the company and implement a sustainable energy future. She was soon promoted to become part of the Management Board (first female in this role) and later built a team focusing on strategy, sustainability and innovation. As Head of Corporate and Business Development she led big transformational projects and programs, was responsible for new (digital) business models (i.e. smart cities, smart homes) and for building new ecosystems with partners and start-ups, as well as for an innovation hub in Zürich (Kraftwerk). Stéphanie works with different companies and sectors with a special emphasis on CTOs, digital and innovation roles. It is of personal interest to promote women in management roles and to help diversify teams. In 2020 she became Partner at Signium Zurich. She holds a Master’s in Environmental Sciences and a PhD in International Relations both from ETH Zürich and a MBA from Oxford University (Saïd Business School). She is both a Swiss and Luxembourg national. She speaks several languages and has lived in different countries.
