Shelly Carolan has broad and deep expertise across the healthcare and life sciences industries and in particular in for-profit healthcare. Prior to her career in executive recruitment, she held a number of C-suite positions at PE-backed and private healthcare service organizations. As leader of WittKieffer?s Investor-Backed Healthcare Practice, she conducts and oversees high-level searches and manages quality, and consistency of the teams work for for-profit healthcare clients. Before joining WittKieffer, Shelly was Sector Leader for For-Profit and Private Equity Health Services for a major international executive search firm. Her responsibilities included growing the practice through excellence in execution and building strong relationships with new and existing clients. Prior to that, Shelly was President of the U.S. Division of an international staffing and recruiting firm. She excelled in establishing service and operating strategies for the division, setting performance goals and acting as a sales thought leader for the organization. Previously she was Chief Sales and Marketing Officer for Specialists on Call, a Joint Commission-accredited provider of emergency and acute care telemedicine consultations. Other positions she held included Chief Marketing Officer and Vice President of Strategic Business Development of NMS Labs and Executive Senior Vice President of the Lab Support division (now Apex) of On Assignment, a publicly traded professional services company.
