Based in Chicago, Seb Stoove leads Spencer Stuart’s global Agriculture & Commodities Practice and is a member of the firm’s Energy, Natural Resources, Industrial and Supply Chain practices. He has 13 years of experience as a leadership advisor to some of the biggest global commodities and agribusiness companies, publishing several articles on leadership in the commodities sector. Seb conducts international search assignments for board and C-suite roles in the energy, mining, agricultural, supply chain and renewables sectors, as well as a growing number of trading & risk leadership roles. International industry expertise Prior to joining Spencer Stuart, Seb worked with another European executive search firm recruiting senior international executives in natural resources, supply chain, commodities, financial services and consumer goods. Before his career in search, he was active in various front office positions with international trading companies and Rabobank International. He dealt with a range of product groups such as equity, fixed income and commodities and served a variety of clients across the world. Sebastiaan graduated from the College of Haarlem with a B.A. in economics, law and management. He has lived and worked in Amsterdam, London, Singapore and Chicago, and speaks English, Dutch, French and German.
