Ruth Curran leads the MERC Partners / Spencer Stuart Dublin office. Ruth is a member of the firm’s Financial Services, CEO and Board, Consumer, TMT and Private Equity practices and has more than 20 years of executive search experience. She focuses on C-Suite, board and senior executive search assignments, working extensively with major organisations in a diverse array of sectors including media, technology, financial services, fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG) and pharmaceutical-biotech. Board and C-suite search partner Ruth joined MERC Partners in 1999 and became managing partner in 2014. In July 2019, Spencer Stuart acquired MERC Partners; Ruth continues to lead the Dublin business post acquisition. She was responsible for creating the Board Practice within MERC Partners. Ruth was global chair of IIC Partners in 2015, she is a board member of the National Maternity Hospital Foundation, and she serves on the Governing Authority of National University of Ireland, Galway. She is a member of the National Council for Ibec, the Irish business lobbying group. She has also served on the strategic committee for the Department of Public Expenditure and Reform. A qualified accountant (ACCA), Ruth holds a Masters degree in Business and was the 2016 recipient of the National University of Ireland Galway Business and Commerce Alumni of the Year Award.
