Roland took the helm of The People At Work’s Manila office in January 2014. With a total of over 28 years of work experience, including 15 years in the executive search business, Roland has rich experience in both Filipino and US organizations to draw from in understanding the business challenges clients face every day. People-Focused Leadership Roland began his career in HR at well-known conglomerates including Ayala, San Miguel, Far East Bank, and Wyeth. One of his career highlights was when he was the Senior Vice President of a large finance and insurance company, heading business development and regional operations. His first foray into search was with a retained search firm in Philippines which he helped build before he decided to start his own company, StratSearch Asia (SSA). Attracted to becoming part of a regional search group, Roland later agreed to SSA being acquired by The People At Work. The entire SSA team was absorbed by TPWI, and transformation was completed smoothly due to the alignment of similar value systems. Roland is an active member of several professional business associations in the Philippines, and is currently the membership committee chair of the American Chamber of Commerce (AmCham Philippines). Roland holds a Bachelor in Business Management from San Beda College and a Diploma in Industrial Relations from the University of the Philippines.
