Robert T. Nowakowski leads the Warsaw office of Spencer Stuart and is a member of the Consumer, Retail & Healthcare Practices. He specializes in senior leadership assignments in general management, finance, sales & marketing and HR functions for clients spanning multinational, private equity-backed and private, entrepreneurial companies. Robert is also a member of the firm’s Leadership Advisory Services team and works on organisational consulting and leadership assessment assignments. Robert offers strategic counsel and insights gleaned from his experience in consulting and senior executive roles in leading consumer companies. Passionate about leadership, Robert is a frequent speaker on CMO, CFO and HRO forums delivering insights and advice on the evolving role of leaders. He has also co-authored several studies on the essence of leadership in consumer sector, financial officer and sales & marketing functions. Expertise in Central and Eastern Europe Prior to joining Spencer Stuart, Robert was human resources director for PepsiCo in Central and Eastern Europe. He was responsible for human resources strategy, top talent acquisition and development as well as people planning in the region. He also worked on numerous M&A and capability-building projects in Poland, Russia, Czech Republic, Hungary and Ukraine. Earlier in his career, he worked as HR director for PepsiCo Russia and CIS, fuelling the business growth via effective talent and capability building agenda. Robert started his professional career in 1993 with another global search firm, where he worked as research associate and knowledge manager. Robert earned a degree in English Philology from the University of Lodz. He speaks Polish, English and Russian and has lived in Central Europe and Russia.
