About Mr. Mejean
IEP Paris
Richard has nearly 30 years of experience, primarily in the automotive and
food industries, both in manufacturing and distribution. His expertise lies
mainly in general management, finance, HR, operations, and IT. He
also possesses in-depth knowledge of various types of organizations:
consulting firms, listed industrial groups, leveraged buyouts (LBOs), cooperative movements, and family businesses.
A graduate of Paris 1 Panthéon-Sorbonne University and Sciences Po Paris, he began his career at Deloitte in Audit and then in M&A.
In 2000, he joined the Renault Group's Retail division in France and Austria as a
Financial Controller and then as Head of Vehicle Management Control.
In 2008, he joined the Autodistribution Group, then the largest LBO in France, as
Chief Financial Officer for the Western region, to lead the centralization of back
offices and the turnaround of operational entities.
In 2013, he joined the food sector as Managing Director of a major
purchasing center within the E.Leclerc group, tasked with leading the transformation of the supply chain.
In 2020, he joined the Mulliez group as Managing Director of Agapes Services. He
then became Chairman of a charcuterie company, followed by the
general management of two Italian restaurant chains.
At Exec Avenue, he brings a triple expertise:
Sector-specific: the automotive and food sectors – from factories to
distribution networks.
Organizational: the specificities of many environments: listed company,
investment fund, family group, movement of independents, multi-site networks.
Geographical: long established in the Hauts de France, he benefits from an
excellent knowledge of this region.
His passion for food and wine illustrates the importance he places on conviviality and quality
relationships, essential values for building a relationship of trust and
efficiency with decision-makers, shareholders and managers alike.
