Priya Ratnam is a consultant in the Biopharma Practice, based in the San Francisco office. She specializes in advising and recruiting CEOs and senior-level executives for small, mid and large-cap biopharmaceutical companies. Priya is a purpose-driven leader, passionate about helping people and organizations grow and thrive by identifying and developing great leaders and improving the effectiveness of leadership teams. Proven leadership experience Priya draws on more than 20 years of business experience in the biopharma industry to inform her client work. Before joining Spencer Stuart, Priya was head of the Europe South Region at Roche, where she managed a team of more than 1,000 people and a $1.5 billion P&L. Her career in biopharma spans several multinational companies, including Novartis, Sanofi and Schering-Plough (now Merck). During her tenure in the industry, she served in a variety of commercial and general management roles in the United States , Europe and Latin America, and held roles with global responsibility. While at Roche, Priya also served on the global D&I council for the company and pioneered various initiatives and programs that helped achieve global D&I targets, including increasing the number of women in senior leadership positions. Priya holds a PhD in microbiology and molecular medicine from Clemson University and an MBA from Harvard Business School.
