the client is seeking a Partner/Of Counsel for a General Liability practice with hybrid/remote flexibility. This role is suited to an attorney with 10+ years of civil defense litigation experience who is looking for hands-on courtroom and deposition exposure, meaningful client interaction, and long-term growth within a collaborative environment.

Responsibilities include managing a diverse caseload of insurance defense and general liability matters across all phases of litigation, including drafting and responding to pleadings, motions, and written discovery; attending and defending depositions; taking depositions; making court appearances and attending hearings; and assisting with mediations and trial preparation. The role also involves collaborating with clients and internal legal teams while maintaining accurate billing and case management practices, including handling approximately 25+ matters.

Qualifications include an active bar license in good standing in New York and New Jersey and a J.D. from an ABA-accredited law school, along with strong written and oral communication skills and the ability to manage multiple matters simultaneously while meeting deadlines. Proficiency with Microsoft Office and standard legal technology is expected, and a valid driver’s license is required; additional relevant experience may include general liability, insurance defense, labor and employment, property/premises, and casualty/personal injury matters.
