Mitsunobu (Mitsu) Higashi provides a wide range of advisory services to enhance leadership and corporate governance of client companies, including CEO succession, executive assessment, leadership development, board effectiveness appraisals and non-executive director search. Before joining Russell Reynolds, Mitsu was a Partner at Board Advisors Japan, a boutique advisory firm focusing on leadership and corporate governance. Preceding this, he spent six years at Russell Reynolds as an Executive Director to provide executive search and various advisory services for clients across industries. Before that, Mitsu was Senior Executive Officer at Sega and responsible for finance, strategy, HR, IT, legal and other areas. Prior to Sega, he engaged in a Managing Director role at Gavin Anderson (currently Kreab). He began his career as a banker at Sanwa Bank (currently Mitsubishi UFJ Bank). Mitsu received a Bachelor of Laws at Kyoto University and a Master of Law (LLM.) at New York University. Mitsu was admitted to the New York Bar.
