He has 25 years of experience in the Latin American financial sector. He worked for 12 years at Citibank (in Chile, Bolivia, Venezuela, Brazil, and Mexico). The first 11 years were in Corporate Finance. In 1991, he assumed the position of Country Manager for Mexico in the Private Banking division of Chase Manhattan Bank. After four years in this position, he was appointed Managing Director and Co-CEOHeadHe held a position in Private Banking at Chase Manhattan Bank in Latin America, based in New York. In 1997, he left Chase to join Clariden Asset Management, NY (a subsidiary of Credit Suisse), where he served as President and CEO. In December 1998, he returned to Chile and became ManagerGeneralfrom American Express Bank. For the past 20 years, Mario has led and executed over 500 search processes in the financial sector (banking, asset management, insurance, pension funds, family offices, factoring, and banking support), energy, retail, laboratories, professional services, consumer goods, industry, telecommunications, and real estate. He founded Equation Partners in 2009.
