Lauren McCaghren brings more than 15 years of leadership experience in higher education to her role as Assistant vice president of business development & client relations at Greenwood Asher & Associates. Lauren possesses an exceptional ability to connect clients with transformational leaders using her strategic stewardship of institutional relationships and professional network. As AVP, she guides GA&A’s business development efforts ensuring our strategies remain responsive, our relationships are thoughtfully cultivated, and our reach across higher education continues to grow. Working in close partnership with our search consultants and search managers, she focuses on nurturing existing relationships, identifies new opportunities, and ensures that clients feel supported at every stage. Her approach is grounded in deep respect for the trusted relationships GA&A has built over time. In her role as senior executive search consultant, Lauren is recognized for her expertise in executive and academic leadership roles across a wide range of institutions, including R1, liberal arts, and faith-based colleges and universities. She has led searches for critical institutional roles such as presidents, provosts, and leaders in enrollment, student affairs, HR, education technology, and finance and administration. Lauren’s gift for relationship building was honed through her years in higher education philanthropy, where she served as an advancement officer across four institutions. She prides herself on her ability to listen deeply and understand client motivations, resulting in candidate pools that exceed expectations and align with institutional goals. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in journalism/mass communications from Samford University and a Master of Arts in higher education administration from The University of Alabama. Lauren’s blend of communication expertise and higher education insight continues to shape her thoughtful, mission-aligned approach to business development and client service.
