The client is seeking a Director Trustee Governance & Law to join their board of directors. This role involves providing strategic leadership and guidance on governance and legal matters for the Volunteer Centre in Laois. The Volunteer Centre operates independently within the network of volunteer centres in Ireland and is funded by the Department of Rural and Community Development. The ideal candidate will have experience in implementing good governance practices, strategic planning, and a strong understanding of the community and voluntary sector landscape in County Laois.
Board members are encouraged to undergo training to enhance their skills and knowledge in governance and legal matters. The time commitment for this role is estimated at around 10 hours per year for meetings, with additional time required for preparation and involvement in sub-committees.
