Katie Mitchell Tucker leads Spencer Stuart’s Americas Healthcare Practice across all sectors with a personal focus on health tech and digital health. She is also a member of the Digital and Technology Officer Practice and has worked across all industries placing executives who serve as the “technologist as leader” managing transformation and integrating emerging technology. She focuses on recruiting executives to unlock the value of new and emerging technology within the companies that create it, as well as the organizations seeking to implement and optimize it through effective use. Katie brings more than 20 years of technology-focused executive search experience to her role and previously led the firm’s Atlanta office. Technology leadership Before joining Spencer Stuart, she spent 14 years as a consultant at another leading multinational executive search firm, most recently as global leader for the IT, digital and cloud technologies sectors and as a member of the CIO practice. Her assignments there spanned all sectors, with much of her work in the telecom, software and emerging technology markets. Katie also gained deep experience in the outsourcing space, with a focus on IT and business process outsourcing and other diversified professional services. Her searches spanned all functional areas of the information officer marketplace — from CIOs and their direct reports to heads of engineering and operations — for organizations ranging from startups to global multibillion-dollar companies. She also recruited leaders across the C-suite, including CEOs, chief operating officers and senior executives in marketing, technology and finance, for technology company clients. Katie began her career with another international search firm, where she spent three years concentrating broadly on the technology sector. She holds a master’s degree from Harvard University and a bachelor’s degree from Vanderbilt University.
