Karen Quint is a consultant in Spencer Stuart’s San Francisco office and a core member of the firm’s Financial Officer and Board practices. With more than 30 years of experience in executive search, she focuses on senior-level financial executive searches for chief financial officer as well as board director searches for financial experts and audit committee members. She also works with clients on succession planning, team effectiveness and aligning culture with strategy. Karen is a two-time winner of the firm’s prestigious Lou Rieger Quality Award. Consumer and financial expertise Karen has been with Spencer Stuart for more than 11 years and spends most of her time in the consumer, technology and financial services arenas, mainly focusing on large-cap companies. Her recent clients include leading corporations in retail, restaurants and hospitality, consumer products, fintech, banking and brokerage. Karen also does significant CFO work for the portfolio companies of leading private equity firms. Prior to joining Spencer Stuart, Karen spent 13 years with another international search firm and six years with two boutique search firms on both the East and West Coasts. Karen is a frequent speaker at financial executive conferences, presenting on talent management and the changing role of the chief financial officer. She has been a featured speaker and panelist for Financial Executives International, The Corporate Executive Board Company, the National Association of Corporate Treasurers and the National Investor Relations Institute. A native of Maine, Karen earned her B.A. degree in American studies from Connecticut College, where she now serves on the board of trustees.
