Joe Kopsick is a core member of Spencer Stuart’s North American Board and CEO practices, as well as the firm's Consumer and Private Equity practices. His client work focuses on CEO, board director and North American leadership assignments for public and privately held organizations. Board and senior leadership perspective Joe regularly advises boards on CEO succession and has led numerous succession projects for a variety of companies, including Kellogg’s, Masco, TreeHouse Foods, Tempur Sealy, Arctic Cat, Coca-Cola Enterprises, Diamond Foods, Keurig Green Mountain, Levi’s and Newell Rubbermaid. Board director recruitment projects include work for companies such as Kellogg’s, McCormick & Company, Newell Brands, Compass Group, A.O. Smith and many others. In addition to his client work, Joe has served in a variety of firm leadership roles. Until 2010, Joe was the firm’s head of practices, with responsibility for Spencer Stuart’s global industry and functional practices. He previously was managing director of North America and also served as the global leader for the Consumer Goods & Services Practice from 2000 to 2006. He has been elected to Spencer Stuart’s board of directors four times, most recently in 2014. Joe received a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Arizona and an M.B.A. from the Lake Forest Graduate School of Management. He is a former board member of the International Trade Club of Chicago.
