José María has a Law degree from the University of Navarra, an MBA from IESE and a Masters in Financial and Tax Law from the CEU-Abad Oliba. He has been a member of the Board of Directors in several companies in the Financial, Real Estate and FMCG sectors. He has also been part of medium size companies, as well as family-owned companies in the stock market. His role in these companies has been as Nominee Director, outside Director or inside Director, while occupying various positions within them, as President, CEO and sometimes assuming an active role of their internal committees (compensation committee, audit committee and others). He has also been a member of some foundations, non-profit companies and other non-commercial entities. He joined Status | EMA Partners Spain in 2018 as a consultant partner to develop the consultancy on good corporate governance area.
