José Bancaleiro is a Partner at Stanton Chase Lisbon and Porto, bringing over 25 years of experience as an HR Director and VP for top companies such as Philip Morris, GlaxoSmithKline Healthcare, Altitude Software, Essilor, OPCA (Engineering and Construction), and Banco Finantia (Investment Banking). He also served as a partner at the Lisbon office of Boyden. In addition to his corporate experience, José teaches at universities and frequently speaks at conferences. He has authored three books and regularly writes management articles for industry-specific magazines and newspapers. As a consultant, José advises some of the most prominent companies in Portugal, specializing in executive search and top executive coaching. Portugal recognized José’s contributions to the HR field by awarding him the first-ever career award given to an HR professional in the country. He also served as president of the Alumni Association of the University Católica MBA program. José’s academic background includes a law degree, and he previously worked as a judge. He later earned an MBA in Marketing and is currently completing his PhD in Labor Sciences.
