Joanne McMullin is a Partner within the Life Sciences and Public Sector Practices at Odgers Berndtson. Recognised for forging strong business relationships and delivering results in highly challenging markets, Joanne draws on her extensive knowledge of the talent pipeline as well as her agile approach to lead and execute searches across the innovation ecosystem for public, not-for-profit, and private sector organisations. Based in Ottawa, Joanne brings over eight years of experience focused on recruiting and developing senior-level candidates in highly technical and specialised roles including research & development, manufacturing, operations, commercialisation, and more. She has a thorough understanding of the regulatory, policy, market access, and reimbursement functions. Prior to joining Odgers Berndtson in April 2015, Joanne worked as a freelance C-suite business coach for global corporations in South Korea. In this role, she was an active advisor on international business practices, and specialised in strategic communications, relationship management, and succession planning. She also has experience in business consulting, sales, project management, and marketing with several companies in the United Kingdom. Joanne achieved a bachelor’s degree in International Business and Spanish from the University of the West of England. She also holds an advanced certificate in French and a post-graduate teaching certificate from the University of Nottingham.
