Joana Carvalho Neto joined EMA Partners has Senior Associate Partner in January 2024. She has solid experience in general and HR management, training & organizational development, talent management, executive recruitment, and project management. She was exposed to a wide range of business areas throughout her career, which gave her a macro perspective of company management as well as a broad understanding of how businesses operate in a variety of fields. She lived in the USA and started her professional career in Portugal, working in recruitment, performance appraisal and project management. Three years later, she moved to Angola, where she built a recruitment department from scratch and developed HR management skills. She then returned to Portugal to take the helm of a business entirely managed by her. She is passionate about human capital and mental health, and is driven to learn new things, broaden her horizons and acquire new abilities. Joana holds a master’s in organizational psychology from ISPA – Instituto Superior de Psicologia Aplicada, and a Postgraduation in Management from NOVA School of Business and Economics.
