Jim leads many of the firm?s high-profile searches, including those for healthcare CEOs, COOs, CFOs, and board members. His physician executive credentials include assignments for chief medical officers, chief clinical officers, chief population health officers, chairs, and service line chiefs. Jim also leads WittKieffer?s Board Search and Children?s Hospitals practices. With over 25 years of healthcare leadership experience, Jim?s success can be attributed to prioritizing client and candidate experiences and ensuring high-caliber placements who demonstrate culture fit, strategic vision, and organizational impact. He specializes in advising and identifying senior executives and board leaders for integrated health systems, academic medical centers, children?s hospitals, faith-based hospitals, behavioral health/addiction treatment organizations, and health insurance companies. He has also conducted searches on behalf of leading not-for-profit organizations and colleges and universities. WittKieffer?s Chief Quality Officer for 15 years, Jim helped transition the firm to a new Quality Program and remains active in the Program as Chair of the Awards and Recognition Committee. In addition, he previously served on the firm?s Diversity Council where he was Co-chair and spent nine years on WittKieffer?s Board of Directors, seven of those as Secretary. Prior to joining WittKieffer, he served as Vice President of Governance and Organizational Research for Texas Health Resources in Arlington, Texas, one of the largest faith-based, not-for-profit healthcare systems in the country. Given his broad expertise, Jim frequently speaks to hospital trustees, state hospital associations, and other professional organizations on healthcare leadership, industry trends, and career planning topics. Being active in his community, among other activities, Jim serves on the Health Services Management Advisory Board for the University of Minnesota College of Continuing & Professional Studies and is an advisory board member of the LIVIN Foundation, a non-profit organization dedicated to raising awareness about depression/mental health issues and preventing suicide.
