James Roome advises technology companies, and companies in other sectors facing technology transformation. His clients range from global market leaders through to fast-growth, private equity-backed companies. He leads assignments across CEO succession, chair succession, non-executive board and CXO positions. Recent client successes include: CEO succession for one of world’s largest technology companies; board build for a pre-IPO technology company, and top assessment for an infrastructure provider. James is a member of the firm’s Senior Leadership Team, responsible for operations across a range of geographies. Previous firm leadership roles include: Co-leadership of the Global Technology Sector, leadership of the UK business, and membership of the Executive Committee. Before joining RRA, James was a strategy consultant with Ernst and Young Consulting.  James holds a BSc in management sciences from Loughborough University in the United Kingdom. He is vice chair of the Prince’s Trust’s Technology Leadership Group, a non-profit that supports disadvantaged young people through partnerships with leading technology companies.
