Based in Tokyo, Hiroyasu (Hiro) Takano plays a pivotal role in the assessment and development of senior leaders, offering a range of leadership advisory services including executive assessment, executive development, and succession planning. Prior to joining Russell Reynolds Associates, Hiro spent over 20 years at Mitsubishi Corporation, one of Japan's leading trading firms. During this time, he accumulated extensive experience in sales, supply chain management (SCM), new business development, and corporate planning within the FMCG and retail sectors. He also held senior leadership roles, including a secondment to a Tokyo Stock Exchange Prime-listed food supermarket, where he was responsible for corporate planning and preparing for revisions to the corporate governance code. Additionally, Hiro was seconded to a joint venture with a major beverage manufacturer, focusing on sales planning and SCM. Hiro has a BA in law from Hokkaido University and an MBA from London Business School, with a focus on Change Management. Everyone possesses more potential than they realize. However, many may be unaware of this fact. My role is to accompany clients on their journey to discover the key to unlock their potential and to find the keyhole where it fits. He is certified in Hogan Assessments, Occupational Personality Questionnaires, and GLLC (Global Learning and Leadership Center).
