The client in Milwaukee, Wisconsin is seeking a HCV Director to oversee the day-to-day operations of the Housing Choice Voucher (HCV) and Project-Based Voucher programs. Responsibilities include supervising operations staff, ensuring compliance with HUD regulations, managing contracts and budgets, and collaborating with leadership on strategic program improvements. The Director will also represent the program at community events, conduct evaluations, and provide guidance on complex cases.
Qualified candidates will have a Bachelor's degree (Masters preferred) and at least 5 years of experience in public or private housing management, with 3 years in a supervisory role. Strong knowledge of federal housing programs, excellent leadership and communication skills, and proficiency in Microsoft Office are required. Certification in HCV Proficiency is preferred. The ideal candidate will have experience with Yardi Voyager/Rent Caf and be able to effectively manage complaints and resolve disputes between landlords and participants.
