Hans B. Merforth worked for Commerzbank and its affiliates for 31 years. He has over 25 years of Korean experience as well as the experience of working in finance industries in Frankfurt, London, Hong Kong, and Singapore during his extensive banking career. He was Deputy President of Korea Exchange Bank for 5 years and is well versed in the ins and outs of finance, investment banking, asset and risk management. He has a very nuanced understanding of financial markets and the different qualities, skills, and qualifications required in different segments of the industry. Moreover, his long and deep engagement in the Korean-German Chamber of Commerce and Industry, as well as the European Chamber of Commerce in Korea, gives him a unique insight into the European investor and business scene and into what it takes to make a multinational company successful in Korea.
