The client, a fast-growing partner-owned professional services firm based in Baltimore, MD, is seeking an experienced Financial Controller to lead its finance function. This hybrid role offers a mix of in-office and remote work, allowing the candidate to influence strategy, enhance financial infrastructure, and support ongoing growth. The Financial Controller will report to the Managing Partner and senior leadership, overseeing all financial operations and providing strategic insight to facilitate firmwide decision-making. Key responsibilities include leading accounting and financial reporting activities, reviewing financial statements, developing forecasts, managing budgeting, financial analysis, and audit preparation, and ensuring compliance with GAAP and internal financial policies. Additionally, the role involves supervising and mentoring an accounting team, managing client billing cycles, supporting accounts receivable collections, and overseeing trust-related financial activities.

The ideal candidate will hold a Bachelor's degree and have 12 or more years of progressive experience in accounting and financial management, preferably in a professional services or partnership-structured environment. Strong communication, organizational, and technology skills are essential, along with demonstrated experience in leading accounting teams.
