A client in Chicago is seeking a Finance Restructuring Lawyer to join their Financial Restructuring Practice Group. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of four years of experience in handling restructuring matters, including both out-of-court restructurings and Chapter 11 business reorganizations, working with lenders and debtors. This position involves engaging in sophisticated restructuring projects for both institutional and private credit lenders, as well as large public and private companies across various industries.
The candidate should possess extensive experience in negotiating and drafting loan documents, exercising remedies, and preparing essential restructuring documents and legal pleadings. This includes expertise in drafting plans of reorganization, restructuring support agreements, first-day motions, and additional chapter 11 filings. Strong academic credentials, along with excellent organizational, analytical, writing, and verbal communication skills, are required. Applicants must hold admission to the Illinois Bar.
