Opportunity Details
A client seeks a values-driven, strategic, and compassionate leader to serve as its next Executive Director. The organization is a trusted survivor-centered provider with a dual focus on direct services and community-wide education and advocacy addressing sexual and domestic violence. Based in Corvallis and serving Linn and Benton counties, it offers a continuum of supports including crisis and support services, confidential shelter, crisis response, legal advocacy, support groups, live chat, and community education programming.
The Executive Director will help build organizational stability, deepen staff support and retention, strengthen systems and external partnerships, and guide a mission-aligned path forward. This role involves leading people and systems together, with an approach that balances warmth and directness, holds complexity while keeping focus on what matters most, and represents the organization with credibility as an effective public representative and thoughtful partner to the Board of Directors. Major responsibilities include stewarding organizational values, centering survivors, partnering with the volunteer Board, and overseeing fiscal health, compliance, and operational excellence.
Successful candidates will demonstrate integrity, steadiness, values alignment, and strong judgment; support staff wellbeing and retention; and collaborate effectively with a volunteer Board of Directors. They will also be expected to cultivate donors, grants, and community support, represent the organization in public and partner settings, and advance strategic priorities through collaboration, accountability, and care.
