Our client, the East Tennessee State University (ETSU) College of Nursing is seeking an Executive Director for the Appalachian Highlands Center for Nursing Advancement (AHCNA). The Executive Director will lead a team to address challenges in recruiting, retaining, and developing a qualified healthcare workforce in the region and state, focusing on nursing. Responsibilities include conducting research, analyzing data, implementing evidence-based innovations, and disseminating policy recommendations. The Executive Director will hire a diverse team, maintain relationships with stakeholders, secure funding, and ensure compliance with contract requirements.
Qualifications for the position include a graduate degree in a health-related field, senior research leadership experience, and a track record of funded research. Preferred qualifications include a doctorate in a nursing-related field and experience in rural healthcare and collaborating for grant funding.
