The client is seeking an Executive Director to lead a nonprofit organization serving residents across Washington, Grayson, Russell, and Smyth counties. The founding Executive Director has announced an intention to retire by year-end 2026, and the Board has launched a search for a successor to build on the organizations early progress and further advance its mission to support community health and wellbeing.
The Executive Director will provide strategic vision and disciplined execution, setting direction while ensuring that strategy is translated into action with clarity and follow-through. This role is expected to work closely with a strong, committed staff to maintain momentum and sustain the legacy of respected leadership.
Ideal candidates will demonstrate executive leadership capabilities, including the ability to guide organizational strategy, align teams to priorities, and drive measurable progress. The role will require strong communication, decision-making, and operational follow-through to ensure the organization continues to enhance the health and wellbeing of the communities it serves.
