About Dr. Markou
Evan Markou is a Senior Partner in WittKieffer?s Global Life Sciences Practice, based in New York. With over fifteen years of executive search and talent consulting experience, Evan is recognized in the industry as a trusted advisor to Boards, executives, and investors of disruptive life science companies. He has worked closely with emerging growth companies in biotechnology, biopharmaceuticals, diagnostics, med tech, and aesthetic medicine, as well as leading venture capital and private equity firms investing in these areas. Prior to joining WittKieffer, Evan was a Senior Client Partner for another leading multinational search firm. Over the course of his career, Evan has successfully placed many Board Directors, CEOs, C-suite officers, and other executives. Prior to his career in professional services, Evan worked in R&D and business development for two global pharmaceutical companies, gaining firsthand operational experience in complex drug development, finance, BD, and partnering models. Evan is a trained chiropractic physician, with the privilege of having treated hundreds of patients suffering from spinal related neck and back pain disorders, including many acute patients who had previously undergone surgery. In his personal time, Evan enjoys an active lifestyle playing golf, traveling, dining and, most important, spending time with his wife and two boys.
