The client is seeking a Director of People and Culture for NSW Trustee and Guardian. This newly created role will focus on strategic change and talent within the organization. NSW Trustee and Guardian is dedicated to protecting, promoting, and supporting the rights, dignity, choices, and wishes of the people of NSW, including some of the state's most vulnerable individuals. The Director will be part of the executive leadership team, working to develop and support highly skilled individuals who provide customer-centered services. Responsibilities include leading human resource strategies, workforce planning, employee relations, learning and development, and talent management.

The ideal candidate for this role will have a proven track record of driving culture and lifting capability within large, complex human services organizations. While experience in the NSW public sector is not required, it would be beneficial. The Director of People and Culture will play a key role in creating a positive organizational culture and implementing effective strategies and plans to support the organization's goals. The Director of People and Culture will be responsible for leading and directing human resource strategies, reforms, plans, systems, and policies in alignment with employment legislation and guidelines provided by the Public Service Commission. With a focus on workforce solutions across the employee lifecycle, including workforce planning, employee relations, industrial relations, organizational design, and talent management, the Director will help shape the organization's approach to meeting the standards expected by their customers. This role is part of a refreshed leadership team working towards a new strategic plan, emphasizing the importance of developing and supporting highly skilled individuals within the organization.
