Description

Our client is seeking a Director of Individual Gifts to lead the organization's fundraising efforts and play a critical role in supporting its strategic plan. The successful candidate will manage a portfolio of major donors and prospects with significant philanthropic capacity, developing tailored donor strategies and cultivation plans. Responsibilities include identifying, cultivating, soliciting, and stewarding major gift donors, as well as traveling extensively to engage donors with our client's work. The ideal candidate will have 3 to 5 years of experience managing major donors, with a preference for experience in non-profit development and working with high net-worth donors.

The Director of Individual Gifts will work closely with the fundraising team to implement an effective individual-focused philanthropy program, with a focus on acquiring and cultivating new major gift opportunities. This position will oversee the Advancement Manager and collaborate with the foundation and grants team to grow the pool of donors capable of making significant gifts. Ideal candidates may have experience in environmental or economic justice, social justice advocacy, or policy advocacy. DRiWaterstone is leading the search for this position on behalf of our client, a nonprofit organization dedicated to environmental and economic justice in Central and Southern Appalachia and the United States.
