The client is seeking a Director of Gift Planning to join their team in San Francisco, California. The client, dedicated to protecting and restoring California's iconic redwood forests, is looking for a mission-driven fundraising professional to secure legacy gifts that will sustain these natural treasures for future generations. The Director will play a key role in identifying, cultivating, and stewarding planned giving donors to drive philanthropic support and contribute to the development team's revenue goals. Responsibilities include managing a portfolio of gift planning prospects, overseeing the Redwood Legacy Circle, and directing all gift planning program administration.
The ideal candidate for the Director of Gift Planning position will have a personal passion for preserving and protecting the natural world, along with a minimum of 5 years of gift planning experience. They will be responsible for designing and implementing gift planning marketing strategies, managing a portfolio of active gift planning prospects, and stewarding existing planned giving donors. The Director will also oversee gift planning program administration, recruit and staff a Legacy Circle Chair, and manage a Gift Planning Associate and various contractors.
