The client (SFA) is conducting a national search for a new Director of the DeWitt School of Nursing within The College of Sciences and Mathematics. The Director will also hold a concurrent appointment as an Associate or Full Professor. The client, a member of The University of Texas System, has a rich history dating back a century and now serves approximately 11,000 students across six colleges. The ideal candidate for this position will be an experienced and collaborative leader with a passion for nursing education and a vision for the future of the program.
Reporting to the Dean of the College of Sciences and Mathematics, the Director of Nursing will be responsible for overseeing 40 faculty members, adjuncts, and staff within the School. Key qualifications for the role include a terminal degree, preferably a PhD or EdD, a strong research background, at least two years of teaching experience in a nursing education program, and eligibility for licensure in Texas. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in shaping the strategic plan for the School, preparing the next generation of nurses, and strengthening partnerships with healthcare systems.
