The client is seeking a Director for the School of Aerospace and Mechanical Engineering, anticipated to start in Fall 2026. This position is part of a larger engineering college and offers accredited degrees in Aerospace and Mechanical Engineering, with a focus on interdisciplinary research in advanced materials, robotics, energy systems, and more. The department collaborates closely with various industries in aerospace, defense, energy, and manufacturing, enhancing opportunities for innovation and workforce development.

The ideal candidate will possess a Ph.D. in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related discipline, along with proven collaborative and visionary leadership skills. A key responsibility is leading the school to achieve strategic goals in research, education, and external engagement. The candidate should have a distinguished record of publications and securing external research funding, particularly from federal agencies. Additionally, they should support interdisciplinary initiatives, facilitate faculty collaboration, and have experience with ABET-accredited programs, promoting student success and educational excellence.

This position requires strong external engagement and the ability to build industry partnerships to enhance research opportunities and increase national visibility.
