Diane Smith is a proven clinician, consultant, and recruiter who brings more than 15 years of executive search experience to her role with WittKieffer. Diane works with hospitals, health systems, academic medical centers, colleges, universities, nonprofits, and other organizations to identify leaders who understand the dramatic changes taking place in the healthcare landscape and can position their organizations for the future. Her experience as a nurse has contributed to her success in placing leaders in nursing and advanced practice provider services. She also regularly supports a range of recruitments for key positions including quality, operations, pharmacy, human resources, employee health, and more. Prior to joining WittKieffer, Diane was a vice president with a national executive search firm specializing in healthcare. In this role, she handled execution of retained searches in academia and for hospitals and health systems. Diane has previous experience working in a nonprofit association which focused on leadership education and management training for the physician workforce. She also served as a principal in the healthcare practice of an international executive search firm and began her career as a clinical professional, holding leadership roles in home care and long-term acute care facilities. Diane is a member of the American Organization of Nursing Leadership, American College of Healthcare Executives, and the Fibromuscular Dysplasia Society of America. A native of the Northeastern U.S., she is active in a number of community organizations.
