The client, widely recognized as a worldwide leader in public health research, education, service, and practice, is seeking a visionary and inspiring leader to serve as the next Dean of the Columbia University Mailman School of Public Health. The Dean will be responsible for fostering excellence and innovation in research, teaching, service, policy, and practice. They must have a distinguished record of transformative scholarship and impactful contributions to public health, as well as the ability to drive meaningful change and innovation in global health priorities. The successful candidate will be an experienced administrator, excellent communicator, and coalition builder who can engage stakeholders and partners to shape the School's vision and strategic direction.
The Dean will be tasked with fostering interdisciplinary collaborations, attracting and retaining a diverse community of faculty, staff, and students, and generating revenue to support the growth of research and scholarship. They will also be responsible for advancing fundraising efforts and renewing trust in public health and higher education. Most importantly, the Dean will serve as the chief ambassador for the client, embodying and promoting its mission, vision, and culture.
