Data Science Lead/Director is a senior, hands-on player-coach role focused on client delivery at the heart of a go-to-market strategy organization for B2B clients. The position owns predictive modelling, sets analytical standards, and advises senior commercial stakeholders with executive-ready insights. Responsibilities span complex predictive analytics and the translation of modeling outputs into clear recommendations for business leaders, with direct involvement in the most complex client problems across the broader portfolio.
The role will lead predictive analytics workstreams across GTM use cases such as segmentation, targeting, churn, forecasting, pricing, quota optimization, and marketing effectiveness. It also acts as the quality bar for statistical rigor across the team, develops reusable analytical frameworks and methodologies, and provides technical leadership by guiding and developing a team of data scientists. In addition, the role supports business development efforts as a technical expert without being responsible for independent selling.
The ideal candidate is a polished, confident communicator comfortable on senior client calls, able to explain modeling choices and trade-offs clearly without over-engineering. Strong Python skills (including pandas and scikit-learn) and proven experience with regression, classification, clustering, forecasting, experimentation, and causal methods are required, alongside a solid statistical foundation. Hands-on GTM domain expertise across sales, revenue operations, marketing, or revenue analytics is expected, and familiarity with CRM, pipeline, account-level, and marketing data will support connecting modeling decisions to revenue impact; R experience may be a plus. Prior leadership or player-coach experience and broad data science or analytics experience are expected.
