Claus Fischer co-leads the firm’s Global Retail and Luxury Practice and is a member of the Consumer Sector. He focuses on senior executive searches for clients throughout Europe across several industries including marketing, sales, HR, strategy, operations, and digital transformation. RECENT CLIENT EXPERIENCE Claus has led numerous searches for consumer goods, retail, hospitality and family-owned organisations. He recently recruited an EVP for a global luxury goods company, two non-executive board members for a premium international food retailer, a CEO for a European brand portfolio apparel player and a CEO for a grocery chain. PREVIOUS EXPERIENCE Prior to joining the firm, Claus spent 15 years in international management positions within the food industry. He worked for leading brand manufacturers, private label producers, and B2B food ingredient suppliers. He also spent two years with McKinsey & Company as a project manager and member of the European marketing and sales practice. While there, he oversaw projects in the consumer goods, fair trade, automotive, logistics, and financial services industries. He specialized in corporate growth and marketing and innovation strategies. EDUCATION Claus studied business administration at the European Business School and participated in exchange programs, spending a semester at Universidad Argentina de la Empresa and another at ESC La Rochelle. He graduated Diplom-Kaufmann. He is fluent in German, English, French, and Spanish.
