About Godwin
Claire partners with clients in the education and social impact sectors to assess and develop boards and executive leadership teams. Based in Washington, DC, she has over ten years of experience in leadership advisory, organizational transformation, high-profile fundraising, and building strategic partnerships. Claire works closely with clients to bring clarity to their near and long-term visions, engaging C-suite executives and board members to align stakeholders, deploy resources, and mobilize high-performing interdisciplinary teams.
Previously, Claire spent more than 10 years with the Knowledge is Power Program (KIPP) Foundation, the US’s largest public charter school system. In her most recent role as chief of policy and public affairs, she led national strategy, critical partnerships, and ambitious fundraising campaigns. Before that, she served as chief of staff to KIPP’s CEO, driving talent recruitment, board management, and the first-of-its-kind national executive director team, which was responsible for drafting five-year strategic plans.
She began her career with Big Brothers Big Sisters of Middle Tennessee.
Claire holds a bachelor’s in social work from Belmont University.
She serves on the board of directors for The Knowledge House.
